While the World Health Organization and other stakeholders have endorsed support of differentiated service delivery (DSD) models for pregnant and breastfeeding women, very few countries are implementing models for this priority population and there are little to no data on impact of DSD on related outcomes. Programmatic experience highlights the need for taking an integrated – and differentiated – lifecycle approach to offering women integrated HIV and family health services. This satellite session will feature framing remarks, a summary of key issues emanating from a recent 21-country workshop on the topic, a dynamic debate by two senior Ministry of Health experts on the topic of optimal models for mother/infant care for women living with HIV, and reflections from a recipient of care.
