The satellite is organized and hosted by the HIV/viral hepatitis/STIs Unit of the Division of Health Country Programmes of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and aims at presenting examples of services integration as a part of regional and national efforts towards reaching the 2030 targets and achieving SDG3.3. In 2021 WHO Regional Office for Europe engages in the new strategic development process to assure alignment of regional and national efforts to global strategies on health sector response to HIV, viral hepatitis and STIs epidemics. The importance of identifying and supporting the scale up of integrated models of care that are people-centred and cost-effective is emerging in the context of post-pandemic times in many countries of the WHO European Region. This Satellite will highlight examples of integrated and people-centred models of HIV services provisions and discuss alignment with WHO recommended approaches along with solutions to address implementation challenges in countries.
