The Gilead-sponsored symposium entitled "Redefining success - Improving outcomes across diverse populations" will explore how an evolving ART landscape and renewed focus on empowerment has driven changes in treatment goals and expectations among PLWH. The meeting will open with a short plenary presentation reviewing current treatment goals in the management of both treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced PLWH, with focus given to the evidence supporting rapid initiation of ART and strategies for optimising care engagement and adherence. This will be followed by a series of case study presentations that are intended to facilitate a focused panel-led discussion around the benefits and potential drawbacks of individualised approaches to treatment management. Finally, audience members will be offered to the opportunity to engage with the expert panel during a concluding Q&A session.
